Add Conditional fields to forms & registration

Can this functionality also be added to Descriptions within the form? So per the answer given in one field, it would show a hidden description within the form layout. This doesn't appear to be possible right now.
Thank you :)

Hello all! As Ben stated back in April, our team is currently working on Conditional form fields!
I wanted to let you all know that I slightly changed the title here to what we are actually working on ("fields" exclusively at the moment), but we are strongly considering the idea of expanding this to conditional form actions.
I took William C.'s post up near the top and added a new request specifically called "Conditional Form Actions" that you can feel free to go and vote for and comment on as you have here.
Voting will also make sure you are notified when the status changes on a request as well.
I hope that helps!

The team got started on this today!
The first chunk of work we'll tackle is the "conditional form fields" which will allow you to configure fields show and hide based on field values.
This will cater to things like "IF field EQUALS x SHOW y field"

Our dev team is currently estimating this and we plan to start in April. We'll be breaking it up into two different chunks of work.
One chunk will be conditional form actions based on field values. This will cater to things like "IF field EQUALS x ADD TO people flow".
The other will be conditional form fields which will show and hide fields based on field values. This will cater to things like "IF field EQUALS x SHOW y field"
ETA: Hoping to have at least one of these done in May with the other starting straight after 🎉

Ben Sinclair: this will reduce the number of people flows we have in our systems and will significantly improve our workflow. Thank you team

Ben Sinclair: Hi Ben, any news here?

Johannes Dück: QA testing is almost done, just making finishing touches before launch 🙌🏽

Ben Sinclair: Thank you to the team for adding conditional forms! Testing it out just now, it seems that it is not yet capable of conditionally showing different ticket options, unless I am missing something. I would love to be able to use one form to guide the registrants to the appropriate ticket options based on the answers they select in the conditional fields, instead of them having to choose from a longer list of ticket options (where they often choose the wrong one).
Ben Sinclair
William Cavataio: thanks for the message! This request was purely for form fields, not tickets. We’ll have to tackle that as it’s own thing so make sure you vote on that request also :)

Adding my vote/note/support for "IF this, THEN that" type of logic.
Simple use case:
Form Question - Do you have a prayer request?
From Logic: IF: Yes, add to "Prayer Follow-up People Flow
IF: No, do nothing.
I would allow this option per field...perhaps add a little "gear/configure" icon next to the existing "pencil" icon.
Support for multiple "conditions" and multiple "actions" would be best.
Thanks!

Anna Navarro: This is a good thing! Adding to this, we find it extremely difficult to manage "new people" as they fill out forms linked on our website.
For example, it would be of massive benefit to be able to assign actions to people ADDED by this form. In this example, a new person fills out a form, our form is set to update automatically, or with admin approval. If the person doesn't exist, we would like them to be added and potentially either added to a Group, or placed in a Flow.
You have the option of creating as a Contact, but that doesn't really help unless someone is running a report regularly to search for "Contacts Added in a certain timeframe". If we can send Added people to a Flow, then at least the admin of that Flow (i.e. New People Flow Admin) will receive a notification - and we can track people properly.
We have been finding for some time now that our forms are attracting new people to our church. They are an effective means of capturing new people. This kind of conditional logic to forms would make this task so much easier.
Edit: I had already raised a feature request for this:

Actions on Form questions/answers

Right now Forms can do Actions at the form submission level. It would be very helpful to also be able to have Actions at the answer level.
Another system I'm familiar with can do automations at the answer level and can automate to a Group, Event, Flow Step, or Position.
If Answer is ____ add respondent to _____.
We use this very frequently, usually to automate people to Flow Steps.
