Often people are reticent to give full birthday details, but having a year of birth is helpful for demographic progression and so on. It would be helpful to allow incomplete birthdates (in some cases it might be day/month but not year) when we fill out profiles.

Hey Mike, why aren't they keen to give their date of birth?

If you are manually entering persons you can enter mm/dd without the year, although that messes with demographics unless we manually assign them. I don't remember if that was possible in batch entry. We also ask that people give us their full mm/dd/yyyy birthdate when register with us with the assurance that the year will not be shared in online directories or other venues. Having at least mm/dd helps with so many other areas like congregational care and outreach.
