Adam Barry Tithe.ly Pay documentation specifically says "Pay is NOT to be used to accept donations. Please use Tithe.ly Giving for donations." This is in direct contradiction to the documentation and direction we have received from Tithe.ly's marketing department, which says Pay can be used for donations. So can it or can't it be used for donations, and if not, why not?
Adam Barry
Lance Yoder: I'm sorry for any miscommunication. Pay should not be used for collecting donations. Apple has restrictions on what can be done inside an app. Unfortunately, these restrictions are not something can accommodate at this time.
We decided to release Pay to allow churches to take mobile payments for other things (ie: books, cafes, etc). For now, we encourage churches to direct members to using the giving app, custom church app, or the church's website for making donations.

Great to see this is in progress - any update on timelines? I saw Adam Barry mention Q2/Q3 2020, but that was 8 months ago.

Adam Barry Due to coronavirus there is high demand for kiosk giving with credit card reader. Would appreciate an update on this.
Adam Barry
Alpesh Sanghani: we are in early beta stages with this app. We hope to have it released to the public in 2-3 months.
That being said, our free Giving App (or Church App if you have one) or your church website are going to be the best solutions for people that are concerned with touching public devices. I would recommend promoting those over setting up kiosks.

Kiosk experience on a browser in ipad is pretty poor. The form factor is not userfriendly and appears too small on an ipad. Please look into building a better kiosk experience.

Adam Barry Would definitely like to be kept in the loop regarding update and development of card reader for on-site payments. Thanks.

I am so glad this is currently in development! We are using another third-party kiosk provider (mainly because they offer a card reader) but it has added an additional layer of complexity to our overall giving process (for both the giver and on the administrative side). If you all decide to do any beta testing closer to release, our church would love to participate!

Any updates on this?
Adam Barry
Jacob Roberson: We still have this in development. Based on the current road map, it looks like the release will happen in Q2/Q3 of 2020.

Or with an Android tablet, with a card reader wuld be awesome. We still use Paypal Here for this type of activity but I'd prefer it was all done in Tithe.ly
