Single CC, ACH, Check or Cash transaction for multiple gift categories

If a donor chooses two different gift categories, it seems like there are two separate credit card transactions. That seems wrong -- You should be able to make a credit card single transaction and split the amounts accross different gift categories.

It would be nice to have those donator be able to split their donations to different funds if they want. Example: $100 to general fund, $100 to building fund, $100 to benevolence, without having to do three separate transactions.

The system really needs the capacity to split one donation (a check, for example) into multiple funds, according to the giver's preferences/instructions. Currently, this has to be done manually with separate transactions. Cumbersome...

Since this has been requested since 2018 and was marked as planned in 2019, is there any progress? It's now over 3 years we have been waiting, which should at least have moved it in to "in progress" if you actually plan to do anything about it.

Susan Esteph: Hi Susan, thanks for reaching out about this!
On September 20th we began logging all Admins into our new Giving Dashboard. While there are many advantages to the new Dashboard, the #1 reason that we are doing this is so that we can migrate off of our old platform because of the limitations it imposes.
Now that we have made the migration, one of our main focuses over the coming months is to update aspects of how we process transactions so that we can split a single transaction between funds exactly like you described. The great news is that not only will this be possible, but our new platform will allow us to move much faster with the development of all aspects of Giving so that we can handle changes like this with ease.
I apologize for the amount of time this has taken since it required some major changes with the platform which are finally happening now.
So that there is absolute transparency for you, I anticipate that we will begin processing single transactions between multiple funds in Q1 2022, and if we are approaching the end of April with no news then please don't hesitate to reach out so that I can keep you up to date with how this is progressing.

Yes, split transactions in Admin Batch Giving would be very helpful, with the ability to choose giving types for each gift and add a memo for each.

It would be great to be able to combine the giving types so that there is just one debit from a givers account, instead of one for each separate fund. Many members have requested this to be like it was in Vanco.

There should also be the options to do reoccurring transactions to ,multiple funds. Currently that doesn't happen.

A contributor who gives multiple funds is charged for each fund they give to as a separate transaction... it shows as one lump sum giving amount when giving it on tithely, but as separate charges when coming out of the account. Can there be only one transaction fee when people give to multiple funds at the same time. Our previous giving platform showed multiple fund giving as one transaction in a person's bank account and there was not separate transaction fees.

We also have several members asking for this option. We love the thithe.ly platform but this needs to be addressed asap. Many members love the clean look and style of the platform, but hate having to pay several fees.

Hi Cory Dellenbach! Donors using the giving app or web giving form can make up to 4 designations by clicking the "+" button on the donation form.

Adam Barry: is there any way to move the "+" to the top and create a text box next to it that says "split designation" so users can know how to do this at the beginning of the transaction without us having to train them? I helped another staff member create their donation online this morning and didn't even see the "+" or remember that's how to do it and I'm an admin. With online transactions skyrocketing these days, more and more of our members are looking online to donate and the clearer we can make it the better.
