Visible "Publish" date on Tithe.ly Sites News posts is confusing

The news posts on tithe.ly sites will show a publish date to the right of the header, which for most readers wouldn't be useful information. Would be helpful to have an option to toggle that date on or off.

I want to bounce off of this in the other direction. The way we use news it's intentionally dated, which makes it frustrating that /news, unlike /events and /blog, does not show the dates of the articles (dates are only shown when you click on the article).
On the other hand, in our blog posts the date really doesn't matter as much, but both at /blog and in every blog post, the date is shown and we'd like it to be invisible.
Same note on the right block of "upcoming/latest" that appears on many pages.

Matt Morrison:
Thank you for looking into this!
For example, we published this news post on June 1 to remind people to prepare their own communion for the following week's virtual service. However, the publish date shows up as June 1 but we are trying to tell them about June 7 Sunday Service.
I think in some instances, the publish date could be helpful so people understand how old the information is, but when you're trying to direct their attention to future dates, it can muddle the message.

Matt Morrison: Thanks for taking a look! In case that comment came out of the blue, Lucas and I work together at our church. Didn't mean to look like I was interjecting :D
