Add the ability to merge giving types into one. This process should give the admin the choice of which giving type would be left remaining. All the transactions that matched on the "deleted" giving type would be adjusted to be associated with the giving type selected to be kept.

Is there a timeline on this? I have integrated with Planning Center and the multiple duplicates that were created in the beginning due to spelling mistakes (which I have since renamed) are creating issues. I have general offering that has integrated twice and therefore shows up as 2 separate items in PCO. They say it draws from here and would be corrected once I can merge giving types. It's causing a ton of extra work for me

I would love this option! We have so many hidden giving options that exist solely because someone spelled something wrong or without a capital at the beginning. If we had this option it would clean up the giving types for admins.

Yes, I agree. It would be nice to be able to remove some of the options for giving types that are on the admin side of things. For example, somehow we have General Offering (which is the one we use), then "general," "General Fund," and "Offering". We have hidden these other ones from public view, but it would be nice to be able to have them all just be reclassified as General Offering and then be deleted from the possible options in the Admin Dashboard and for running transactions.
