Agreed. Our church uses Church Windows for budgeting purposes. I would be great to have an API with that service or perhaps emulate some of the more robust accounting/financing features available with that service.

For example, enhancing Tithe.ly with Payroll capabilities would be phenomenal. Additionally, the ability to build and project budgets based on giving data or projected giving data in Tithe.ly would also be a boon.
