Use a CSV file to add people to a group

It would be great for admins to be able to use a CSV file to add people to a group via their email addresses. The import would create new People records if the emails didn't already exist and would add people records to a list.
For example, if you use the tithely event function, it would be really helpful to be able to export those email addresses and use a CSV file to import them into People Groups to use Messaging

Should be able to upload a CSV list into a specific group… instead of having to find them manually

There needs to be a way, when uploading a mass CSV list into People, to also put them into a Group easily. For instance, we do a lot of community events and we try to collect contact info so we can email or mail them in the future. I want them in a separate group so we know where we collected the info and to keep it separate from our church members.

This is EXTREMELY necessary. It's a very manual process to export the list of registered attendees from a recent event, add it to people when the CVS templates are wildly different.... including Tithely Events 1.0 exports names in one field, but Tithely People imports names as First, Middle, Last as three fields. And then there is no way to filter by recently added so it makes it very hard to add them to a group to be able to use Messaging to send them a follow up message. It appears that the building blocks are there to streamline this in Events 2.0 beta, but it just doesn't work right yet to try on a live event!

It's so great to hear what features would be important to your church as we continue to evaluate areas to focus on moving forward. 😊
