Additional site wide news alert features

Three features that I think would be really cool:
1) allow multiple site wide news alerts to display simultaneously at the top one after another
2) add a new parameter to news post that represents the expiration date of the news. After the expiration date, the news post should unpublished automatically. This would reduce the need for admins to unpublish news posts
3) ability to set the color of the site wide news alert banner. Red is great for grabbing attention, but sometimes it's a bit jarring if the news is good news or neutral news :)

I would also add:
- Allow the site moderator to remove the words "NEWS ALERT!" (sounds like Fox New or CNN language) and instead be ableto customize the bar at large simply say "THIS WEEKEND! Serve Day!" or "Homecoming is this Sunday!"
- Allow the bar to be clickable to wherever you want it to go - YouTube Channel, form lower down on the page, the giving site, etc.
These are functionality markers that SquareSpace has.

John Austin Helm: You can use redirects to make it go whereever you want. Sometimes I make a news post that is only a site wide alert. And then I set up a redirect whenever someone goes to the address of the news post, it redirects to where ever I want, like a page under /events. I find its better than duplicating an Event and in News. Make the Event and registration once, and then a news post that simply redirects to the event.

Matt Morrison: It looks like this went under review at some point. Any update on this feature? Thanks!

I agree with Vincent, especially with nos. 2 and 3
