Stewart Polley
Hey everyone.
Just a quick question about this. Do you also feel that "Series Title" should be in the "Add Service" screen, for when you're adding multiple services?
Also, should it be an option in mass manage? (Note, this is the existing Series Title field not Sermon Title)

Stewart Polley: Hi Stewart,
It would be handy to have it in the add service screen, as i often bulk add then edit all of them once they've been populated. I could also see the benefit of being able to mass manage a bunch of services and update a series title. For me though we need a sermon title option, as it wouldnt change that much for me currently.

Stewart Polley: We tend to add services according to our rostering schedule rather than sermon series so we probably wouldn't need the Series Title field at that stage, however mass managing would be a convenient way to add that in.

Chris Thomas
Stewart Polley: For sure, that would help. Like any of these options though, to allow flexibility for various church processes, being able to toggle them on or off as required would be great.

Stewart Polley: Hi, We normal add a large number of services (eg 6-12 mths) ahead and then edit them in smaller blocks. So Series Title better in 'mass manage' rather than 'add service' - in our view.

Thanks everyone!
It's a possibility that we'll simply add series title to both places, just wanted to check with customers to get some thoughts about if it's actually useful.

Stewart Polley: Hey Stewart,
Having acceess via mass manage would be fantastic for how we use it. Less important, but would be good to be able to populate it via 'Add Service' too.
Al McNicoll
Stewart Polley: I would prefer it in both, but particularly in mass manage.

Peter Benzie
Stewart Polley: Yes to both. The flexibility would be great

Yes, and also the ability to show (or hide) the sermon title in the Services calendar entry.

I'd like to be able to add the Bible reading to the Bible reader - and there are probably other roles that people would like to add a little note to...

Hi Sandra,
Elvanto already does allow for this or, at least the way we use it does... On the 'Edit' page the topmost box 'Name' is for the sermon name or title and on the 'Plan' page the topmost box is for the series title. When both these boxes are completed with different information, they appear separately and in different columns on the services overview page.
Hope that helps.

Hi Sandra,
I have put a similar request down as well. The title is about Bulk adding services being more efficient. Have a look and see if that is similar to your situation.
Using the current system you can have a sermon title as Alastair has said as the "Name" and sermon series be different but it will be time consuming and you would have to do it one by one.

It has series. But I i want title as well. Plus bulk add for a term for e.g. world be wonderful.

I can definitely add my support to being able to bulk add. Would love to see that!
I think I've also submitted this request before too, but maybe did it via email with the support team.

I would like to embed the public calendar in our website so I only have to enter information once, in services in Elvanto. However, the calendar seems to have the Series Title and the description, but not any information that's been put in the Plan. The app has the Series Title and the Plan details but not the description.
It would be really nice if:a) the Series title (which appears everywhere) was more than one lineOr, even betterb) there were custom text fields (like speaker, bible passage, etc) which would end up in the calendar and on the app, so wherever you look, you get the same information.

I wonder if checkboxes next to items that could be toggled (and pre-toggled in the template too, to save doing it each time) would be a good idea to solve much of this? i.e. a check box for 'show in calendar feed'
It's already hard-coded for songs, so hopefully wouldn't be too difficult to implement something like this :)
Associated to this would, of course be the ability to connect people to service order items too... that would be so very useful too!
