Celebrations Section in Member Area

Especially now with the Elvanto 3.0 widget, it would be really nice and helpful if we could have a Celebrations page in the Member Area that would list upcoming (and maybe you could scroll by month) birthdays, anniversaries, and any other date fields we desire - only showing month and day, no years.
For me as a pastor, this would help me have one place (without having to make a report) where I could go to see all the celebrations I need to be aware of this week.

Please create this as soon as possible! I have church members who send out birthday and anniversary cards to all of our members. To check on birthdates through Elvanto they have to log in to the admin area, go through the advanced search in people, set up the parameters of the search, edit the fields to display to include birthdate, and then sort by date of birth (which sorts by year, not day). This is a ridiculous amount of work to get a list of birthdays! Using this method also means that through the "Fields to Display" section people have access to giving numbers and other information that we do not want everyone to be able to see.
I agree with Tyler that a Celebrations page in the member area would be a great solution! This could list birthdays and anniversaries by month. I also agree with Tyler that only showing month and day would be helpful as not everyone wants to share their full birthdate.

It would be nice to be able to create a "celebrations calendar" that is populated with birthdays, anniversaries, and baptism dates from everyone's profile information. (icons for each type would be a nice touch: b-day cake for birthdays, set of rings for anniversaries, cross for baptisms). It would be helpful for people to see these dates all "stacked" in chronological order in week view, month view, or list view. This would be more convenient than what we can generate through reports.

I'd like to suggest a "Birthday Widget" for the dashboard:
Automatically show the people that:- have/had birthday from 5 days in the past to 10 days in the future (maybe make thes figures configurable)- show name and birthday and age- have the option to contact a person or to show the profile to see phone number etc.
This gives a way to do more personal messages as the automatic messages can do.
It also is useful for the service host, who has to announce the birthdays during the service.

Since we look at votes as one of the factors to make decisions on what to improve, I wanna make sure these aren't spread out!

Yes, a birthday and anniversary calendar would be great! or a way to allow admins to add a calendar that pulls from any date field in the system

hmm... could be nice - esp if we could specify which date fields could be sued for this - eg could we set up a calendar of Safe Ministry dates, and another of WWCC expiries, and another of joined the church - ie not necessarily have all dates mixed together in one calendar if we didn't want to?

I have dobe an advanced people search and have exactly got the result I needed above.
Maybe it would be best to do a generic applet where you can just call the output of such a search.
This way every type of search could easily be put into a widget.
