Conditional Form Actions
Sabrina Sherman
Right now Forms can do Actions at the form submission level. It would be very helpful to also be able to have Actions at the answer level.
Another system I'm familiar with can do automations at the answer level and can automate to a Group, Event, Flow Step, or Position.
If Answer is ____ add respondent to _____.
We use this very frequently, usually to automate people to Flow Steps.

Would love to see this happen too. Logic based actions from field responses, such as being added to a flow, or update profile information would be a game changer.

Assign a people flow based on a criteria or demographic shift. Children moving into Youth group, new donor, large gift, etc.

Family Relationship in forms

An addable people field in forms for "family relationship" so when you use forms for new people - they can auto be a "child". this will help them with seamless check-in system

Hey Ben :)
It seems like what you want it to set a condition for the actions "change field" for "family relationship" to be based on the answer in for a certain field.
So that you can lend you support to a feature request that will allow for the same outcome, I'm going to merge this with our conditional form actions request. Having this count as a vote for that will help give more weight to the request.
If anything changes there, we will let you know!

More Intelligent movement between Forms and People Flows

I have set up a form that when completed automatically adds people to step one of a people flow, I would love it if we could use drop down boxes where people select options to decide if they enter a different step of the same flow though

I would really love to see this happen for our application as well. Small groups are a large part of what we (and everyone else!) do. We have a form that people fill out if they want to join a small group, but I would love to add a check box to other forms we have (ie new person form), that when they select "i want to join a connect group", it also crates the action of adding them to a people flow or group.
Please help us!

Forms - Specific actions for "Add new people as a contact"
Benjamin West
I would like to see the same types of Actions available specifically for New People.
Similar to this but different:
When an unknown/unlinked person makes a submission, if we have the option selected to add the new person as a contact, the form Actions are applied. This is great, however there are occasions where a person is truly new.
I feel it would be really helpful if you could specify some actions just for this scenario. For example:
New person registers for an event
Elvanto creates the person as a contact (after submission review)
The form actions add them to a Flow to manage their participation in an event
We would like to be able to add the New Person to our New People Flow. Some churches may want to add them to a New People Group
This will then allow us to receive a notification of a New Person entering the church by way of any form. We use forms to catch people who may have been at our church for years but have never found their way into the system.

Forms/Events/Tickets - Specific actions for different ticket types
Benjamin West
I'd like to be able to manage the actions for each of the different tickets on offer for an event.
Again similar to this but different:
For example: a volunteers party event (or any other mixed event). Let us say we had an event that went along these lines:
Adults attend the main event (they have purchased/free "Adult ticket")
Youth attend the youth part of this event with their own activities ("Youth ticket")
Children under 5 receive free child minding ("Child minding ticket")
So we would maybe add the adults to the event as guests and not need to do anything else, or add them to the "main event" group or flow. Youth would be added to their own Flow or Group. Children could then be added to a child minding Flow or Group.
From there we could generate reports and views to help for catering, safety, volunteer numbers for supervisory ratios etc. We have a Volunteers Party happening right now and we have three ticket types like the above. We can generate two reports/views for this:
All adults attending Volunteer Party
All Children under 5 attending Volunteer Party
The problem with this is that we are making the assumption that all of the children under 5 will need to be minded. There may be cases where they will stick with the parent.
Also if there could be multiple actions possible - we would do the following for the above example:
The adult would receive a confirmation of their main event registration
The primary adult/guardian/carer would receive an email confirmation of their youth attending the youth event
The primary adult/guardian/carer would receive an email confirmation of their child being minded and any instructions/check-in time etc (since we use the primary parent's email address and contacts in the child's profile, we send the email to the child, addressed to the Primary Parent and Spouse etc)
To a degree this relates to our use of age groups as People Categories - Child (0-12), Young Person (12-18) and Adult (18+), but I don't think this is absolutely required to make this function work.
We could then expand that further so that if an event had a number of different sessions, in theory a person could be added to Groups or Flows for each of the seminars or activities. This could open up a raft of contact and management options. It would be easy then to report on who participated in which activities.
Let's say you were holding an expo or workshops. Each ticket for each workshop and a ticket for "whole event". Options for "whole event" might add them to a whole event group or flow - or it might add the person to all of the individual groups/flow steps. If the person chose to attend 5 out of the 10 workshops, they would only be added to the groups etc for those 5.
