Please add a reporting function to events, or add the capacity to customise the event page to add our own criteria, just as we can for profile pages and services. We are having to add our events to the calendar as 'services' so that we can report on our events. The events function is too limited

Currently you can't run an attendance report for events. Only check Ins to services or if you separately add in a report for a group. If service functionality was combined with event functionality, this would solve this issue as well as needing to "roster" people on for events.

Event data available for custom reports

It seems a glaring omission that event data is not available for use in custom reports, or that there are any built-in reports covering events - unlike there is for services.
We encountered this years ago at church, for some multiple-date events it was extremely difficult to obtain a list of guests across multiple days.
We are encountering this in a different context, attempting to use Elvanto for a homeless shelter. We are hoping to add guests as attendees of each nightly event. This would be a no-brainer if we could access a report of guests, but this data simply is not available.
Years ago I requested some better linkage between Events and Services - because we need to have a Service for an Event in order to schedule our team. Unfortunately the check-in system only works on one side or the other, rather than both. We need to use Services for producing information and attendance reports, since event data is unavailable. It is a far from ideal situation.

Maggie Hill: Why do we still have no movement here? It should be on the roadmap, no arguments. As it is, Events are largely useless, especially since they aren't linked very well to Services, which I have previously requested.

I'm sorry this feature request has not been prioritized yet. That being said, Elvanto is a huge product with hundreds of requests. As Product Manager, I must carefully consider with my team which changes will have the best impact on the majority of our customers.
This request will remain open, and as it gets more votes, we will take that into account as continue to prioritize new development.

Agree that being able to report on events would be super helpful. Not only would be great to report on event attendance (Welcome Lunch for newbies, Alpha course etc.) from a statistical perspective but also in these days of COVID being able to immediatley report on guest attendance would assist with contact tracing.
