This week, I needed to refund just 1 out of 3 event registrations paid for by the same person (due to a school covid exposure), and it wasn't possible. So I would really want to see partial refunds in the Events realm - at least being able to refund by an individual participant.

Any update on this? This would really assist us in cases where donors overpay or receive a discount/scholarship after they pay. Last week alone, I have three people overpay for something and now we would have to write a check to refund them the money. This is burdensome for contribution statement purposes and for the admin side of giving.

I agree that this would be helpful for events as well. We had someone sign up and pay before applying for a scholarship, and there was no way to refund just the scholarship portion given the current setup, other than sending a check. But not having to receive and write checks is the entire reason we have tithe.ly in the first place :)

Jason Vesely: We have some things in progress now that will set us up to add this type of feature in the future. When those are complete, we will determine if and how we want to handle partial refunds. For now, the best option for partial refunds is to send a check for the partial refund amount to the registrant.

Adam Barry: Yes, that is currently what we are doing. It's not as seamless of a solution, however, and was problematic for a couple of our members on paying their credit card on time. I look forward to progress on this solution - however it fleshes out.
