Users currently have to delete recurring gift and recreate to change amount. Users would like to be able to adjust recurring amount without having to delete.

2.0 Recurring Giving - Update Credit Cards

Please add the ability to change a card on a recurring gift - I currently have to do this from Tithe.ly 1.0. And being able to update just the expiry date and CVV would be excellent, if the card number has stayed the same.

It would be very nice and helpful if there was a way to just update the expiration dates and those 3 digit codes for donors who have us process their recurring pledges when they do not want to set up their own Tithely account.
Also, it would be very helpful if we could actually DELETE the old item when we are forced to replace it in situations like this or when the person no longer uses tithely, or moves, or goes to another church etc.

why must a donor delete a recurring gift when all they want to do is change the amount. This is ridiculously cumbersome. And why has this be "in progress" since 2018?

We've had multiple donors become very frustrated with changing their payment method for recurring gifts. They delete a payment method and set up a new one, and their expectation is that that should be sufficient (which it is on the majority of giving sites). Nowhere does tithe.ly tell them that they are required to now delete the existing recurring gift and set up a new one. The communication is very poor on this.

Please give donors and admin ability also to change the memo note for gifts, as well as the other details!

Yes! Sometimes the card number hasn't changed, but I have to ask for it again.

Recurring Giving Edits by Donor

Yesterday, I had a donor call me. She wanted to increase her recurring giving and could not find how to do it via her personal Tithely account portal. I was able to find it via the Admin help portal and was kind of disturbed to learn that I had to increase her monthly giving amount as Admin and she couldn't do it herself. I find this to be a severe security flaw on behalf of the donor. An Admin should not be able to go into any donors giving account and change the amount they are giving. There needs to be a more secure way so that the donor is the only one who can control that amount. As a professional fundraiser, and a CFRE, I am having to re-evaluate the security of your giving platform because of this. While I know my integrity and personal/professional ethics and I would not go into a donors account and change their giving amount without their expressed consent - I do know that the "crime of opportunity" does happen and someone who is feeling financial strain to meet a fundraising goal may be tempted to do so and therefore commit a federal crime (credit card fraud). Please reevaluate this process and make it so that only the donor has access to make those changes - and so that the donor can do so easily without having to spend a lot of time searching your website on how to accomplish this. By the donor not being able to do this it also creates a donor stewardship issue and may cause donors to stop using Tithely to support their ministries. The current process makes the donor have to conduct two separate transactions and is not donor friendly at all.

This critical oversight has been “in progress” for a long time. What’s happening?
Adam Barry
Bill Eckert: several significant changes are in the works right now that will provide the ability for us to implement this feature. This will be coming, but we do not have an ETA to share at this time.
