It would be great to be able to split off Small/Cell Group management into a seperate module under group/event management. Could be easier to schedule reoccurring meetings and have automatic reminder messages sent to participants. Other ideas include:
- manage these groups of people under a separate hierarchies. i.e. these 5 groups are our young adult groups.
- Also set min/max group size.
- Produce a filtered report of available groups, ie less than max size, meets monday, kid friendly.

Hey everyone.
I'm going to mark this as complete for now. While I know there's some parts to this that weren't covered (max group size/reports on it etc) - The Group Finder feature should help with a lot of this.

Hey everyone. Just an update here.
We've continued making progress with this and thought I'd share some screenshots. Attached you'll see the current design of the "List" view of the groups - I've minimised the map in it for now, but you can click that (currently orange) button to get a "map view" of where the groups are.
I've also attached the more detailed "Individual" view of a specific group.
We won't have the ability to actually "join" the groups in the first release of this, but we'll add that in not long after we get this first bit finalised.

Stewart Polley: Thanks for the update. Looking good... Will this new group page have the option to display publicly (no Elvanto login required) to view? This is a very key feature for us as most people discovering new groups throughout the course of a semester are new visitors.

Naiah Fischer: That's the plan. It will have a "Public" and a "Members" mode, as well the ability to embed it into a website etc.

Andreas Lackner: Nothing major right now. We've been tinkering with some Map related stuff here, but largely this has been on hold as we tackle some other tasks. This will be the next big thing to get finalised though.

Stewart Polley: Do you think it will happen this year? We just transferred our church to use ALL tithe.ly (CHmS, giving, working on the app) and would hate to have them learn another program if this will be ready soon. Small groups are the pulse for us. However, I’m patient if it will happen.

It would be super helpful to also have an online group directory viewable publicly. (with a map integration). Something like this: https://www.life.church/lifegroups/search/?campus=all&age=&keywords=
This would allow people in the church to find a group to join and contact the leader through the system. We currently have to run our small groups through smallgroups.church because this feature is not yet in the CHmS

Hey all.
While the Groups feature itself is not going to be getting split up, we are working on most of the features of this, such as open/closed groups, filterable lists of groups and max group size.

I could see this being an option for a specific group category - just like reporting is enabled for a group category.
